WHAT IS BIOETHANOL?

Bioethanol is a biofuel, or renewable energy, that is made from plant-based raw materials such as sugar cane, corn, wood or waste. Bioethanol intended for biofireplaces burns cleanly, without carbon monoxide, smoke or unpleasant odors. Please note that you only use bioethanol intended for this purpose in biofireplaces, so you can safely enjoy a real and live fire.

We recommend using bioethanol with an alcohol percentage of 95-97.5% to ensure your biofire burns efficiently and odorlessly. So why invest in complicated and laborious chimneys and flues?

Although biofireplaces do not heat as efficiently as traditional heating systems, you can still gain enormous benefits by purchasing a high-quality biofireplace - especially in terms of living comfort and relaxation!

CHOOSING THE RIGHT BIOETHANOL

You cannot purchase bioethanol separately through Lämpöstore, but when ordering a biofireplace, you can, for certain products, choose, for example, Planikan's high-quality Fanolo bioethanol as an additional delivery option. In any case, you can find bioethanol on the shelves of hardware stores, for example. Bioethanol is a flammable liquid, so sending it via courier is not profitable or reasonably priced. We recommend purchasing bioethanol in 1-liter bottles, which makes it easier to fill the bioethanol fireplace without spilling. Some of our products are equipped with a special ethanol pump, making it easy for you to replace the entire 5-liter canister at once!

When purchasing high-quality bioethanol, there are a few things to consider. The bioethanol used in biofireplaces is clear, so avoid colored, scented or gel-like fuels, even if the packaging says the fuel is suitable for biofireplaces. 96-96.6% bioethanol is the best in terms of composition, and if you find the text "pharmaceutical purity" on the packaging, you have found really good bioethanol.

SAFE USE OF BIOETHANOL

Bioethanol is a completely safe fuel when used correctly, as long as you make sure that curtains or other flammable materials are not too close to the biofireplace. The fire in a bioethanol fireplace is real fire, so please always follow the instructions that come with the device carefully! Many of our biofireplaces can also be used outdoors, especially in glazed spaces. The biofire is a truly, truly stunning eye-catcher!

BIOETHANOL CONSUMPTION

Bioethanol consumption naturally depends on the width of the burner and the strength of the flame. A burner about 50 cm wide can consume about 0.5 liters of bioethanol per hour. The quality and model of the biofireplace also affect bioethanol consumption. For example, Planika's automated biofireplaces that utilize BEV technology consume up to 20% less bioethanol compared to manual models. Also learn about other benefits of BEV technology!
