The most optimized, energy-efficient thermal radiation you can enjoy

Radiation efficiency tells , how large part of the heating from being born thermal radiation
switches to heated mode - otherwise saying it is the radiant power produced by the thermal panel ratio to the electrical energy used . ETHERMA heating panels convince very high with its radiation efficiency ! Thanks to optimal thermal insulation, the produced heat radiation is always directed directly towards the room, thus minimizing heat loss. For large radiant surfaces Thanks to this, the thermal effect is optimized in terms of energy efficiency
and the room heats up evenly, producing a particularly pleasant warmth that you can enjoy.

The modern Etherma LAVA infrared heating distributes heat evenly, saves energy and is environmentally friendly. A particularly pleasant feeling of warmth, at a lower room temperature also saves your wallet, because you save on electricity and heating costs! The ingenious infrared heat radiation also ensures healthier room air, which allergy sufferers, for example, will appreciate. The stylish design makes the LAVA® heating panel a "work of art" that radiates pleasant warmth around it.

More warmth with high-quality materials

Crucial to the highest quality and performance of the Etherma LAVA heating panel is the finishing of the heat-distributing surface of the infrared heat radiator . Frequently Asked Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHICH PATIO HEATER IS BEST FOR A GLAZED-IN TERRACE?

Our by far best option for heating a glazed space is a glass terrace heater, which also heats the air mass on the glass terrace. This makes the warmth particularly soft and pleasant. A glass terrace heater also emits no light at all.

Download our free guide to heating a glazed space here.

HOW MANY PATIO HEATERS DO I NEED?

For spaces under 15 m², one patio heater is often sufficient, but this depends on many factors and, most importantly, on how long you want to use your outdoor space. Request a free design for a heating solution tailored specifically to you.

WHY DO TWO HEATERS OFTEN WORK BETTER THAN ONE MORE POWERFUL HEATER?

Two heaters enable more even heat distribution across the entire terrace without strong temperature differences. This is particularly beneficial on wide terraces and balconies, for example, those with separate dining and lounge areas.

HOW DOES AN INFRARED HEATER WORK?

Infrared heating is a sustainable, electric heating method compared to heating systems based on fossil fuels or biomass. An important difference between infrared heating and other heating methods is that infrared radiation does not heat the air (convection) but rather matter or solid objects.

WHAT DOES RED GLOW MEAN?

Red glow is energy that a radiant heater is unable to convert into heat. Lämpöstore terrace heaters produce the lowest possible red glow that modern technology allows. In other words, the radiant heater's efficiency is as high as possible.

Illuminating red glow is generally perceived as annoyingly distracting, which is why it is good to pay attention to the amount of red glow when choosing a terrace heater.

HOW MUCH ELECTRICITY DOES A PATIO HEATER CONSUME?

Electricity consumption depends on the heater's power and operating time. For example, a 1400W infrared heater consumes 1.4 kWh per hour when used at full power.

If the price of electricity is, for example, €0.30/kWh, the operating cost of the heater is approximately €0.42 per hour.

In practice, this means that a cozy three-hour evening in pleasant terrace warmth costs about €1.26.

WHICH POWER CLASS IS SUITABLE FOR ME?

You can see the recommended maximum installation heights by power rating below. The output of a radiant heater decreases as the distance increases, so the installation height is very important when choosing the right patio heater.

Here is a good rule of thumb:

1400W ➡️ max. 2200 mm

2000W ➡️ max. 2500 mm

2500W ➡️ max. 2800 mm

CAN A PATIO HEATER BE MOUNTED TO THE CEILING?

Yes. Many infrared heaters can be mounted on the wall or ceiling. Proper placement significantly affects heating comfort and heat distribution, as well as the aesthetic appearance of the outdoor space.

ARE INFRARED HEATERS SUITABLE FOR RESTAURANT TERRACES?

Yes. Infrared heaters are excellent for restaurant, hotel, and café terraces due to their rapid heating effect, energy efficiency, and ease of use.

SOLAMAGIC MINIMIZES THE ANNOYING RED GLOW

One of the most important factors when choosing a patio heater is the reddish residual light that many heaters produce. A patio heater that produces strong residual light can be incredibly annoying due to its glare. This is often a very big problem with most patio heaters. The residual light of these devices is typically 500-600 LUX/kW.

Solamagic has developed several unique and patented technologies that minimize the glare. A prime example is the Solamagic AIR+ glass patio heater, which produces less than 1 LUX/kW. It is such a subtle glow that it does not illuminate at all! This is even more important in glazed spaces, as glass is a light-reflecting surface.
